Taylor Kudrycki, MA, LPC, NCC
She/her/hers
I provide an inviting and safe therapeutic space with clients to explore their true, authentic self while participating in their healing process. During the ups and downs of life, staying present can be challenging. I know what it’s like to get distracted by intrusive thoughts and feelings—unable to sort through past pains, current worries, and future goals. But by learning to become present through life’s obstacles, I have understood the value of mindfulness as it relates to truly experiencing what’s happening now. As a therapist, I help adults, children, and adolescents access the presence needed to maintain a sense of peace and progress. It’s my goal to create a counseling atmosphere where my clients can feel supported to become vulnerable and work through everything from daily stressors to lifelong pains. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, or trying to figure out your next step after a big change, we will collaborate on ways that you can effectively process your emotions in search of new insights.
Using Vulnerability To Create Moments Of Clarity And Empowerment
Having experienced my own mental health challenges when I was younger, I developed an early interest in psychology and sought the help of a therapist who provided me with very meaningful guidance. In creating a safe space to explore my emotions, my therapist opened up the door for moments of clarity, empowerment, and growth. With their support, I realized how powerful it is to become vulnerable, and it’s my goal to facilitate a similar exploratory atmosphere for my clients. In addition, my familial history and experiences have shaped my approach to counseling. As a baby, I was adopted from South Korea and grew up in a transracial home with white parents and Asian adopted siblings. Recently, I became a mother myself and am now adjusting to life as a working parent. For these reasons, I have a unique perspective on child development, identity, and self-care.
Where Mind-Body Awareness Meets Trauma-Informed Therapy
With a psychology and trauma-informed counseling background, I can treat clients struggling with a wide range of mental health challenges. I see children, adolescents, and adults who may experience symptoms of anxiety, stress, grief, PTSD, and relational difficulties through an individual lens. With my additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Synergetic Play Therapy, I create a safe therapeutic environment for clients to develop newfound emotional awareness, coping, and regulation techniques. And because Serenity specializes in experiential therapy for everyone in the family, I find it important to integrate body-based and mindfulness experiences into therapy sessions. Our approaches are individualized, collaborative, and evidence-based as we help our clients facilitate a strong mind-body connection. By listening without judgment, I can offer a warm, compassionate environment for you to explore your vulnerabilities and learn the value of now. Working together, you can learn to become present, understand your experiences, and conquer past pains. You have the power to heal—and I will support you every step of the way.
Outside Of The Therapeutic Space
When I’m not working, I enjoy being with friends and family, whether that’s through cooking activities at home, traveling, going to concerts, or playing a pick-up game of volleyball. Living among the beauty of Colorado’s outdoors, I appreciate any opportunity to camp, raft, hike, ski, and spend time in nature.
